Metapop is a calcium sulphate hemihydrate and synthetic anhydrite.

Metapop is used as filler and as an ingredient in proprietary formulations in adhesives, grout and mortar.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

METAPOP is a formulated and retarded synthetic gypsum hemihydrate Plaster of Paris.

METAPOP is generally in accordance to the Standard ASTM C59(M)

PURITY:

CaSO40.5H2O – 95 %
Additives < 1%
Inerts < 5%
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Colour: Off white 85 – 95 % whiteness scale
Dry pack density: 0.6 – 0.8
pH: 4 – 9
Dry set density: 1.45
Compressive strength: 12 – 15 N/mm (ASTM C472/DIN EN 13279-2)
Flexural strength: 5 – 7 N/ mm2 (DIN EN 13279-2)
Bound Moisture: 5 – 7%
Initial set: Cement needle test 20 – 25 minutes (ASTM C472/DIN EN 13279-2)
Final set: Cement needle test 30 – 35 minutes (DIN EN 13279-2)

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

Water / Plaster ratio: 0.65
Add 40 kg METAPOP to 26 litres of water
Mix until lump-free to a smooth paste

APPLICATION DETAILS:

METAPOP can be mixed with water or resin containing liquids to produce decorative artefacts.
METAPOP can be applied in neat form or strengthened by introducing fibres in the plaster.

Do not mix more METAPOP than you can use in 20 minutes.
METAPOP can be further formulated to produce custom formulations

CLEANING:

Clean all tools thoroughly with water before mixing the next batch

PACKAGING:

40 kg bags.

STORAGE:

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sun and humidity.
